The Opportunity

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Surveyor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who works with a sense of urgency, communicates well, and can be trusted to get the job done with minimal supervision. Long hours are part of the job, so commitment and work ethic are key.

Key Responsibilities
Review project drawings, documents, and specifications
Perform construction layout, grade checking, and staking
Conduct topographical surveys (existing, interim, and final as-builts)
Ensure all survey data is accurate and aligns with project requirements
Interpret and transfer points from drawings for layout
Work with GPS equipment and control networks
Perform field calculations for construction staking
Maintain and calibrate survey equipment
Identify discrepancies and implement corrections
Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and engineering teams
Oversee and support junior surveyors when required




Monitor subcontractor survey work for accuracy
Troubleshoot survey software and workflows

Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of survey experience (required)
Experience with GPS construction layout (Topcon is an asset)
Robust understanding of construction staking (roads, pads, ponds)
Experience working with DTM surfaces and DXF files
Robust organizational and multitasking skills
Good communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and within a team
Civil Engineering Technology Diploma (asset)
Valid Class 5 driver’s license (required)
Ground Disturbance, H2S Alive, and First Aid (assets)
Physically fit and able to handle field work

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
