Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Millwork Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate shop drawings for custom millwork projects, including kitchen cabinets, closets, and other residential or commercial millwork. This role requires strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Mozaik, as well as hands-on experience working in a millwork shop workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed shop drawings for custom millwork, including kitchens, closets, cabinetry, and other architectural woodwork
Interpret architectural drawings, design concepts, and client specifications
Use AutoCAD and Mozaik software to produce precise and production-ready drawings
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure accuracy and feasibility
Revise drawings based on feedback, site conditions, or client changes
Generate cut lists, material requirements, and assembly details
Ensure all drawings meet industry standards and company quality expectations
Requirements:
Proven experience as a millwork drafter or similar role
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Mozaik (required)
Previous hands-on experience working in a millwork or cabinet shop (mandatory)
Solid understanding of millwork construction methods, materials, and hardware
Ability to read and interpret architectural and design drawings
High attention to detail and accuracy
Solid communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with custom cabinetry and closet systems
Familiarity with CNC processes and production workflows
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Working Conditions:
Office-based role with frequent collaboration with shop floor personnel
Occasional site visits may be required
