Responsibilities
Support skilled mechanics in diagnosing and repairing trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery using hand tools and power tools
Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire replacements, and fluid checks
Prepare work areas by organizing tools, parts, and schematics for efficient workflow
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling parts or equipment during repairs or maintenance
Follow safety protocols diligently during all repair activities to ensure a secure work environment
Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used for each service task
Skills
Previous dealership or heavy equipment repair experience highly preferred
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and other industrial equipment safely and effectively
Solid understanding of maintenance procedures for HVAC systems and welding processes is a plus
Excellent physical strength for heavy lifting and manual tasks in a demanding workplace
Experience working with automotive or industrial schematics to diagnose issues accurately
Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving
