We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mécanicien(ne) automobiles to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced workplace. This role involves performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Experience with dealership operations, welding, and mechanical systems is highly valued. Duties
Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostics of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
Perform repairs including engine work, brake replacements, suspension repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting
Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components accurately
Execute welding tasks when necessary for structural repairs or modifications
Assist with vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics for precise repairs
Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines
Assist in assembly or installation of parts as required for vehicle servicing
Qualifications
Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems
Dealership experience is a plus but not mandatory
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and reading schematics
Knowledge of welding techniques applicable to automotive repairs
Ability to lift heavy components safely (heavy lifting) and perform physical tasks throughout the day
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
Experience with automotive repair software or diagnostic tools is advantageous
Good customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment
