Alvin's Jazz Club is looking for an experienced line cook to round out their dinner team. The Line Cook is responsible for several functions including, but not limited to, producing the highest quality dishes, working efficiently, and cleanliness in their environment. Must be available evenings and weekends.

Alvin's Jazz Club is an upscale jazz lounge and dining destination located in Mahogany's Westman Village in southeast Calgary. Inspired by the classic Current York jazz clubs and supper clubs of the 1930s and 1940s, the venue blends live music, elevated food, handcrafted cocktails, and a sophisticated social atmosphere. Guests come not only for dinner, but for an entire evening of entertainment, featuring live jazz performances, dancing, premium cocktails, curated wines, brunch service, and late-night dining.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Position: Line Cook

Terms of Employment: Part time or Full-Time .



Candidates must be flexible and have the ability to work variable shifts.

Job Duties:
Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
Maintain consistency during high-volume dinner, brunch, and event services
Work collaboratively with chefs and fellow kitchen team members
Ensure food quality, freshness, and proper portion control
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Contribute to a positive, professional kitchen culture

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in a restaurant required
Strong knife skills and food preparation techniques
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining quality standards
Positive attitude and solid communication skills
Team-first mentality with a passion for hospitality
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
