VINCI Construction Grands Projets Canada,a subsidiary of VINCI Construction Grands Projets, part of the VINCI Group, construction worldwide leader, specialized in the design and construction of major civil engineering and building works in Canada is hiring aSenior QC CoordinatorWhat is the project?The Pickering Nuclear Generating Station refurbishment program involves designing and building a new deep-water intake in Lake Ontario to improve the plant's cooling system. This will involve:A5 km-long tunnel, built by a pressurized TBM (10.5 m diameter slurry TBM); Two vertical shafts (onshore and offshore); An offshore modular intake structure, resting on the lake bed.The project is distinguished by its proximity to an active nuclear site, requiring rigorous standards of safety, planning and coordination.What you will do:Reporting to the Quality Director, theSenior QCCoordinator ensures the organization of the in office quality control system and its handover while coordinating on-site inspections and tests. Theyoversee the implementation of regulations, contractrequirementsand the project's integrated management system.Concretely, your tasks will be:QualityManagement & ComplianceOrganize theon-site Quality Control systemand its handover; Coordinate inspections, tests, and compliance with ITPs and WMS; ensure traceability andaccuracy of results; Oversee the implementation of the regulations, contractrequirementsand the project's integrated management system on the site according to internal procedures; Assistand coordinate with the construction team; Coordinatethirdparty inspectors and third part testing companies; Monitornon-conformities,validatecorrective actions, and superviseexternallabtests; Constantlymonitorthe Quality inspection and test activities on site and communicates with various team on the project (Construction, Design etc.).Audits & IMSPlan and coordinate internal and subcontractor audits; ensuretimelyreporting and closure of findings; Maintain the IMS schedule and organize process inductions; develop Toolbox Talks, best practices,
and quick tips.NCR/CA & ETFOversee NCR/CA processes in ACONEX; ensure the completenessand accuracy of registers and dashboards; Coordinate the defining of the list of ETFs with the Execution team while providing guidance andmethodology; Provide training and support for NCR/CA and ETF processes; Monitoranalysis and follow up on progress.Material& EquipmentReview Material Approval Requests (MAR) and ensure compliance; Verifycalibration and readiness of measuring equipment for site, survey, and lab operations.Reporting& CoordinationLiaise with QHSE teams; ensure Quality information is available on site; Issue Quality reports, define best practices, and communicate quality alerts across the organization; Suspend the execution of the workimmediatelyif the safety of persons or the environment is endangered, or if a critical factor isidentifiedthat could affect the final quality of the work; Support as-built documentation and final evaluation reports according to project progress.Your skills:Abachelor's degree in Civil engineering, or a related field; 15years of experience in Quality Control on major projects; In-depth knowledge of ISO standards and QHSE regulations applicable to large construction projects; Heightened ability to conduct inspections, tests, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards; Solidtechnical understanding; Heightened knowledge of MS Office and ACONEXStrong English communication skills, verbal and written; Good capacity tomonitorthe implementation of QHSE procedures; Strong analyticalandproblem-solvingskills; Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations; Flexibility to quickly adapt to a variety of situations.What do we have to provide:Gross annual salary between 120K and 140K depending on experience and profile4 vacation weeks & 3 emergency/sickness days paid; Annual bonuses;Group Health Insurance (premium participation including virtual health care system); Career development opportunities; A cosmopolite and inclusive work environment; Attractive and challenging project.About VINCI Construction Grands Projets Canada:Subsidiary of the VINCI Group, VINCI Construction Grands Projets Canada is involved in large-scale construction and civil engineering projects in Canada. The headquarter of VINCI Construction Grands Projets Canada is based in Montréal, Québec. We are currently involved in three major construction projects in Ontario valued at several billion Canadian dollars.The construction of the subway line south in Toronto, involving a six-kilometer tunnel and associated excavation work. The project includes the design, construction, and handover of all tunnels (twin tubes of 6 km each), 7 stations (turnkey for: 1 at-grade station and 6 underground stations) and civil engineering works.Extension of the Confederation Line in Ottawa, one of the components of Phase 2 of the city's O-Train system, which includes the design, construction, and financing of 27.5 km of light rail infrastructure.
