We are looking for caring and committed Care Assistants to deliver essential support to individuals who require assistance. In this role, you will play a meaningful part in enhancing the quality of life, dignity, and comfort of seniors and other clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver personal care and support in home care, nursing home, assisted living, or hospice environments
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary requirements
Provide medication reminders and assist with medication routines
Observe and report any changes in a client’s health or behaviour
Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
Support light housekeeping, including maintaining clean and organized living spaces
Follow established care plans and skilled guidance
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Previous caregiving or home care experience is an asset
Understanding of meal preparation and dietary considerations
Familiarity with dementia care and memory support
Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Commitment to client privacy and confidentiality
Adaptability to evolving client needs
Requirements:
Reliable transportation and valid Class 4 license
Vulnerable Sector Check
CPR / SFA Level C
Food Handler Certification
Medication Training
