Pythagoras Academy is an exceptional co-educational independent school for students Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Contract: FullTime

Start Date: August 27, 2024

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to work effectively with students with varying challenges and unique needs,
Able to provide intellectual and behavior support to students,
Teaches prepared lesson plans and leads interactive learning activities
Initiates and facilitates classroom discussions
Incorporates appropriate technology and media in lesson planning
Accompanies classes on field trips
Promotes and maintains high standards of behavior, respect, and safety within the classroom
Able to create a secure and caring relationship with students that supports their growth and development
Develop a positive, safe culture through actions and words
Integrate social responsibility and kindness into daily teaching and routines.





POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Possess or be in application of a valid BC Teaching Certificate
Possess a Bachelors degree or higher qualification in education
Models a robust work ethic as well as high standards of commitment
Fosters school mission, values and sense of community through student-centered decisions
Effectively communicates with staff, parents and students
Maintains professionalism through all school interactions and activities

Compensation: Pythagoras Academy teaching salaries are 5% above Richmond School Board salaries.
