Construction Estimator – Residential Construction

Join our growing team and play an important role in delivering high-quality custom residential projects throughout the Okanagan. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator who is experienced in residential construction and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
Review plans, drawings, specifications, and other project information to develop detailed and reliable construction estimates.
Request, review, and assess quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, and other vendors to establish competitive project pricing.
Complete detailed quantity take-offs and calculate anticipated material, labour, and equipment costs.
Maintain estimating tools, pricing databases, cost histories, and other records used to support accurate budgeting.
Work closely with Project Managers to review project scope and confirm that estimated costs and budgets are aligned with project requirements.
Review potential value engineering options and provide recommendations that improve cost efficiency while maintaining project standards.
Explore opportunities to reduce project costs while protecting quality, schedule, and overall performance.
Support procurement,



trade selection, subcontractor negotiations, and related purchasing activities when required.
Monitor construction industry trends and market fluctuations that may affect material costs, labour rates, and overall project pricing.

Qualifications & Experience
At least 3 years of experience in construction estimating; residential construction experience is considered an asset.
Solid understanding of residential construction practices, building materials, and estimating methodologies.
Strong numerical ability combined with sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to complete precise estimates within established deadlines.
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and trade partners.
Well-organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple estimates and priorities while contributing effectively to a team-oriented project team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
