We are seeking a dependable and physically capable General Labor & Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations, handling heavy equipment, and ensuring efficient movement of goods within the facility. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of heavy machinery. Duties
Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes
Pick and prepare orders accurately utilizing warehouse management systems and order picker tools
Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, and other machinery safely and efficiently
Assist with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing inventory and maintaining stock levels
Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues
Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, construction tasks, or when handling heavy loads




Support construction or maintenance projects as needed within the warehouse environment
Ensure the workspace remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

Requirements
Previous warehouse experience is highly preferred; familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus
Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout the shift
Experience with order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management is desirable
Construction or industrial experience will be considered an asset
Valid certification for forklift operation or crane operation is advantageous but not mandatory
Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a physically demanding setting
