Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Lumber Sales Clerk with responsibilities in Shipping & Receiving. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with customers, handling building materials, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in the yard and store. Monday to Friday. 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist customers with product selection, orders, and sales transactions.
Load and unload lumber, building materials, and other products.
Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments.
Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
Ensure orders are pulled and prepared correctly for pickup or delivery.
Keep work areas clean, protected, and organized.
Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
Qualifications:
Previous retail, sales, or lumber/building materials experience an asset (training provided).
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift and handle heavy materials (up to 40 lbs).
Basic computer and point-of-sale knowledge.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team setting.
