Qualifications – Ontario Healthcare Facility
Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Minimum 3 years of recent Canadian Emergency Department nursing experience (required)
Current CTAS (Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale) certification
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 3-month assignment
Must be willing to transition into a Charge RN role as required
Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle required

Responsibilities:
Registered Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Assess, triage, and provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department and Acute Care unit
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions while monitoring patient responses
Maintain accurate patient documentation and support continuity of care across the Emergency Department and Acute Care unit
Provide leadership and clinical support while transitioning into the Charge RN role and ensure compliance with skilled, organizational, and patient safety standards
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant Canadian Emergency Department nursing experience (required)
Experience in Acute Care is considered an asset
Familiarity with Meditech is an asset
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting
Robust clinical judgment, leadership skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare setting
Skills:

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic clinical environment
Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation, medication administration, and emergency patient care
