GNF Commercial Management Limited is hiring experienced rock drillers to support civil construction projects across Halifax and the surrounding region.
In this role, you will operate drilling equipment, support blasting operations, and contribute to safe and productive site execution across active construction environments.

Responsibilities
Operate hydraulic and pneumatic rock drill rigs (e.g., Atlas Copco D60, Furukawa DCR20)
Drill blast holes according to engineered patterns and depth specifications
Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on equipment
Maintain clean, safe, and organized drill sites and access areas
Record drilling activity and equipment condition accurately
Coordinate with blasting teams to ensure accuracy and safety
Follow all safety protocols and use PPE at all times
Support additional site tasks as required
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of drilling experience in quarry or heavy civil environments
Experience operating Atlas Copco or Furukawa rigs is an asset
Familiarity with quarry production methods and rock materials
Safety certifications (WHMIS, First Aid, Surface Miner) are an asset
Physically capable of working in all weather conditions
Mechanically inclined with ability to troubleshoot minor issues
Ability to read drilling patterns and operating manuals
Comfortable working around heavy machinery and in high-noise environments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
