Golden Parrots Pub and Restaurant is looking for a Part Time Prep Cook.

This position is responsible for the preparation of fresh ingredients, and supporting the kitchen team to deliver exceptional taste and quality. This is a weekday position.

Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and components for menu items, including chopping, slicing, making soups and sauces from scratch.
Assist with cooking and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and kitchen areas
Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
Support the kitchen team during busy periods
Ensure all food is prepared according to the standard recipes and in accordance with health regulations and quality standards
Help with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs

Qualifications




Previous experience in food preparation or food service is required
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques such as braising, brining, baking, breading, and secure food handling practices
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting ingredients or equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
