Select People Solutions is partnering with our client to recruit an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage a variety of accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with multiple clients, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting year-end accounting processes in a fast-paced, skilled environment.

Compensation & Hours:
The rate of pay will be $45,000–$55,000/year, depending on experience
Full time, permanent position
Monday to Friday, daytime hours

Position Summary:
Maintain accurate financial records and complete full-cycle bookkeeping tasks
Prepare year-end working papers and supporting documentation for accountants
Complete GST filings and ensure deadlines are met
Process payroll, prepare T4s, and maintain payroll records
Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities




Build and maintain positive relationships while providing excellent client service
Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate financial information and generate reports

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience
Experience preparing year-end working papers
Knowledge of GST filings and payroll processing, including T4 preparation
Experience managing client accounts and maintaining professional client relationships
Proficiency with accounting software, including QuickBooks Online/Desktop
Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently

Bonus Points For:
Education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience working in a public practice or accounting firm
Familiarity with additional accounting software such as Sage
Experience preparing financial statements or assisting with corporate year-end processes
