A growing precision machining company in Edmonton is seeking experienced Senior CNC Setup Machinists to join our afternoon shift team. This is a hands-on role focused on complete machine setup, first-off production, and machining of high-quality precision components in a quick-paced manufacturing environment.
Shift:
Monday to Thursday
3:20 PM – 1:50 AM
Key Responsibilities:
Perform complete setups on CNC lathes from start to first-off approval.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Set tooling, workholding, and machine offsets.
Verify first-off parts and make process adjustments as required.
Maintain quality standards and complete in-process inspections.
Work safely while maintaining an organized work area.
Support continuous improvement and efficient production.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5–7 years of CNC lathe setup experience.
Experience with Mazak (Mazatrol)
and/or Doosan (Fanuc) CNC lathes.
Ability to independently complete full machine setups.
Robust understanding of machining practices, tooling, and GD&T.;
Programming experience is not required, but experience with Mazatrol or G-code programming is considered a strong asset.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
