Western Archrib has been a leader in the design, manufacture, and custom fabrication of glued-laminated structural wood systems since 1951. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Lumber Framer to join our Boissevain manufacturing team. This role plays a critical part in building high-quality frames used in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
Role Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints to determine framing requirements
Measure, cut, and assemble lumber
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., saws, nail guns, tape
measures)
Secure structures using nails, screws, fasteners, and adhesives as required
Inspect completed frames for accuracy, structural integrity, and conformance to
specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and housekeeping protocols
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
and deadlines
Assist with loading, moving, and staging materials as needed
Role Requirements:
Proficiency with carpentry tools and protected operation of power equipment
Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, or work instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Valuable physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
Basic math and measurement skills
Team-oriented mindset and ability to work in a production-driven setting
