We are looking for full time landscaping labourers to maintain boulevards, centre islands, sidewalks, and bio-swales.
Specific Responsibilities
Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties.
Mow lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes.
Plant flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.
Aerate lawns as needed.
Shovel snow from walkways and spread de-icer.
Clean Debris using leaf blower or broom.
Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.
Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping.
Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
Gather and remove litter
Qualifications
Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment and machinery
Knowledge of how to use lawn and maintenance equipment
Ability to work safely in and around busy streets
Familiarity with material safety data sheets
Integrity and ability to work independently
Ability to multi task and work independently
Ability to work as a team player
Interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Conduct themselves in a skilled manner and maintain strict confidentiality
Prior experience in landscape maintenance or related field is preferred
