Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic Japanese culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes and supporting the overall kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and grow within the food service industry.

Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to restaurant recipes and standards
Cooking on GRILL and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
Assist with plating, garnishing, and presentation of dishes before serving
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours




Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a protected working environment for all team members

Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking on GRILL, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods
Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
Basic understanding of meal preparation and serving procedures
Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Knowledge of the importance of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail in the kitchen

Job Types: Full time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
