Banquet Hall Setup & Maintenance Staff – Full-Time / Part-Time

The Guelph Estate Convention Centre & Banquet Hall is looking for a reliable, hardworking Banquet Hall Setup & Maintenance Staff member to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who is physically fit, dependable, and comfortable with hands-on work in a busy banquet hall environment.

Responsibilities
Set up and tear down banquet halls for weddings, parties, corporate events, and other functions
Move and arrange heavy tables and chairs
Load, unload, move, and store banquet equipment and furniture
Set up tables, chairs, staging, and other event equipment
Remove tables, chairs, and equipment after events
Perform sweeping, mopping, and general floor cleaning
Operate a walk-behind floor scrubber/mopping machine
Keep halls, storage areas, and service areas clean and organized
Assist with general cleaning and maintenance duties
Help prepare the venue before events and restore it after events
Follow workplace health and safety procedures
Work efficiently as part of a team during busy events
Perform other general duties as required by management





Requirements
Must be physically fit and able to lift and move heavy tables and chairs
Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to cleanliness and detail
Must be available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Must have a positive attitude and professional appearance
