A secure, growing company in the waste management and recycling industry is hiring a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team in Vernon. This is an immediate-need replacement role, offering the chance to step into day-to-day accounting work with a transparent path to long-term stability.

We're looking for someone with a solid general accounting background, strong communication skills, and the ability to keep pace in a busy environment.

What You'll Do
Support daily accounting operations and general ledger activity
Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close
Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
Work cross-functionally to keep financial data accurate




Take on additional accounting projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of general accounting experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication
Detail-oriented, organized, and a robust problem-solver
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines

$30 - $34 an hour

Schedule: Fully onsite in Vernon, CA, Monday–Friday, start time between 7:00–8:00 AM. Contract-to-hire
