In this role, you will report to the Senior Safety Assurance Qualified, tasked with supporting the compliance of Emera's safety management systems. Your analytical skills will be crucial in evaluating internal controls, providing recommendations to senior management, and aiding in the development of safety initiatives.
Collaborate with various teams to achieve World Class Safety standards and ensure a safe environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead safety audits across Emera companies
Evaluate internal controls for safety compliance
Advise senior management on safety policies
Develop and maintain safety management systems
Implement the Cority Safety and Workplace Digital Platform
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Minimum five years in safety or auditing
Robust communication and analytical skills
Understanding of ISO 45001 standards
Willingness to travel to various Emera locations
