This is a future vacancy within the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations and overall management of DS's office.Responsible for marketing and client liaisonRecruitment and hiring of strategic staffProposal preparation, budgeting, and client developmentResponsible for planning, management, and execution of projects and those of staff reporting to you to ensure effectiveness of the deployment of staff and resources to achieve DS objectivesPrepare and oversee proposals on behalf of project managers, liaise with client and project initiation in line with DS standardsSupervising and mentoring intermediate and senior engineers to enhance their capabilitiesSupervision and management of office, along with training junior staffEnsure health and safety policies are followed at all sitesKey Qualifications, Skills & EducationUniversity degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Science from recognized institutionMust be a registered and practicing Professional Engineer in Ontario8 to 10 years of experience in the Geotechnical, Materials Testing and construction industryStrong project management, client management,



and business development skillsProven leadership and team building experiencePrior experience with running branch office or division is preferredAbility to travel between DS offices and sites within OntarioExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in EnglishOrganized, works well under pressure and able to multi-task is essentialMust own a vehicle with insurance coverage and hold a Valid (G-Level) Ontario Driver's LicenseFlexible to work on a wide variety of projects, tasks, and assignments, responding easily to changing prioritiesAbout DS Consultants LtdDS Consultants Ltd.
