Fleetway is hiring a Senior Naval Architect Engineer to join our team in Dartmouth, NS. In this role, you’ll contribute to the Halifax Class Design Agents program, delivering in-service support that keeps Canada’s fleet mission ready.

Responsibilities

Analyze engineering changes across naval ships, systems, and equipment—including structures, materials, welding, coatings and preservation, shock and vibration, damage control systems, and piping

Lead or support technical investigations and engineering studies to assess performance, reliability, and compliance

Provide expert input to engineering specifications, design documentation, and technical drawings

Review, update, and maintain technical documentation for naval systems and equipment to ensure accuracy and alignment with current standards





Qualifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture Engineering

Experience and Requirements

Minimum 8 years of experience in shipbuilding, shipyard operations, or marine engineering

Proficiency in 3D modeling and/or 2D drafting tools

Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite

Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation through your local provincial or territorial engineering regulatory body

Must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian Government Security Clearance.
