Job Description

We are currently seeking an Analyst - Accounts Receivable for a fixed-term contract. The role involves recording and verifying payments received by the company accurately and promptly. Responsibilities include posting, updating, and reconciling accounts using applicable systems. The analyst should possess a moderate understanding of general aspects of accounts receivable and work under close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.

Responsibilities

- Reviews incoming receipts and remittance advices to determine application to accounts receivable system and handles exceptions appropriately.
- Posts and applies receipts (checks, credit card, ACH and wire) to customer accounts receivable via data processing functions in systems such as Oracle, AS/400, and Microsoft Dynamics/DAX.
- Performs extensive research, investigation, analysis, escalation and resolution of cash application issues to ensure all cash and payments are completed.
- Reconciles funds received to bank deposits.
- Prepares required entries and supporting details when customer takes a miscellaneous deduction.
- Identifies funds needed to be transferred to other accounts receivable systems if receipt was deposited into an incorrect account or combined with invoice payments.
- Adheres to department policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding client data, documents and procedures.
- Interfaces with financial services team members to determine appropriate receipt remittance application.

Qualifications





- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
- 1 year of Microsoft Office products (Outlook and Excel) experience is required; 3 years preferred.
- 1 year of experience with Oracle, AS/400, DAX, or other ERP accounts receivable modules, specifically cash application is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of accounting reconciliations and accounts receivable is preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and work in an intense productivity environment with tight deadlines is preferred.
- Ability to work overtime as needed (including mandatory overtime during statement cutoff dates and month end) is preferred.
- Effective and efficient use of a 10-key calculator or numeric keypad for data entry is preferred.
- Solid oral communication skills are required.
- PC Windows experience is required.
- Excel experience is required (VLOOKUP and pivot table functions preferred).
- Customer service oriented is required.
- Team Player is required.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision is required.

Compensation Details

Salary: $24.33 - $30.41 per hour. This amount reflects the position; actual offers may vary based on geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or collective bargaining agreements.





For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.

For certain sales roles, a commission structure may provide additional compensation based on sales results.
