Duration: 6-month contract with potential for permanent hire
We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to support a growing and evolving QA function transitioning from manual testing to a modern automation-first approach. This role is ideal for a hands-on QE who thrives in transformation environments and is passionate about driving quality across UI, APIs, and backend systems.
The team is adopting the Tosca automation framework and leveraging qTest for test management. While Tosca experience is strongly preferred, candidates with Selenium or Playwright experience who have successfully led or contributed to automation transitions are encouraged to apply.
You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Agile teams to ensure high-quality releases through strong test design, execution, and risk assessment practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases aligned with acceptance criteria
Develop and enhance Tosca automation frameworks and reusable modules
Own and manage regression testing strategy and coverage
Execute functional, regression, API, database, and performance testing
Validate backend services, integrations, and complex data flows




Perform data validation and calculation verification using SQL
Manage test planning, execution, and reporting using qTest
Log, triage, and validate defects using Azure DevOps
Provide test estimates, risk assessments, and quality recommendations
Act as a QA representative within Agile teams and actively contribute to ceremonies
Deliver clear test metrics, status reporting, and release readiness assessments
Required Qualifications
6+ years of experience in software quality assurance with strong automation and manual testing experience
Hands-on expertise with Tosca (preferred) or strong automation experience with Selenium or Playwright
Experience working with Azure DevOps and qTest
Experience with backend validation, API testing, and complex data verification
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and QA best practices
Solid communication skills and confidence in raising risks and quality concerns
Preferred Qualifications
ISTQB certification
Extensive experience testing APIs and backend services
Experience contributing to QA automation transformation initiatives
