Position Details Temporary – 3 month assignment with possibility for extension.
Hours: 12 hours per shift. Closing date: 2026-09-04.
Responsibilities Provide immediate treatment and transportation of sick and injured individuals to appropriate medical facilities.
Operate within the scope of Advanced Care Provider (ACP) practice, following specified educational training.
Make decisions, exercise leadership and ensure the safety of the ambulance throughout each shift.
Work alongside Primary Care Paramedics (PCPs) and Intermediate Care Paramedics (ICPS) on a daily basis, providing reliable insight during emergency medical situations.
Maintain high levels of professionalism, communication, and knowledge. Conduct oneself in a safe and discreet manner and justify conduct to patients, family members, hospital staff, management, public agencies, and legal courts as required.
Qualifications Current Resume and Cover Letter.




Valid PEI Paramedic License.
CPR card.
Copy of diploma/degree.
Class 4 Driver's License – fully graduated/unrestricted.
Driver's abstract issued within the last 90 days.
Valid ACLS certification.
Valid Driver's course certificate (CEVO) issued within the last 2 years.
Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check issued within the last 90 days.
HEP B vaccination.
Maintain ACP status through mandated continuing medical education.
Additional training/education valued.
