Medavie Health Services, a national leader in primary health care solutions and Canada’s largest contracted provider of emergency management services, is seeking an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) to deliver immediate treatment and transport of sick and injured individuals to appropriate medical facilities.
Responsibilities Provide immediate medical treatment and safe transportation for patients in emergency situations.
Operate within the scope of Advanced Care practice, applying specified educational training.
Make critical decision‑making and exercise leadership throughout each shift to ensure safety and quality of care.
Collaborate closely with Primary Care Paramedics (PCPs) and Integrated Care Paramedics (ICPs) during daily operations.
Maintain professionalism, explicit communication, and integrity when interacting with patients, families, hospital staff, management, public agencies, and legal courts.




Adhere to all safety‑related initiatives and foster a culture of patient safety and a respectful workplace.
Qualifications Current PEI Paramedic License.
Current CPR Certification.
Valid Academic Diploma/degree in Paramedicine.
Class 4 Driver's Licence (fully graduated/unrestricted) with a driver's abstract issued within the last 90 days.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Certificate of completion for a valid Driver Training Course (CEVO) issued within the last 2 years.
Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check issued within the last 90 days.
Confirmation of Hepatitis B (HEP) vaccination.
Ongoing ACP status maintained through required continuing medical education.
Additional training and/or education is highly valued.
