You as a Manager, Mechanical Design & Energy will:
Works with the design and construction team to prepare conceptual mechanical design and energy efficiency solutions for Design Build and P3 (DBFM) projects based on the project performance requirements and EllisDon pursuit team direction and strategies.
Able to provide design‑assist input from a facility cost of ownership (life cycle) perspective which result in greater system efficiency and lowest net present costs
Able to apply innovative building systems technologies and services to a cost effective solution and in compliance with Client requirements
Has P3 market specialization with significant experience in developing P3 infrastructure solutions from a Design Build and Service Provider perspective
Works with EllisDon Design Build and Facility Services Team on required energy modeling inputs for the generation of the facility energy target, and manages the process to develop the energy model, final report and RFP submission deliverables
Follows‑thru on mechanical building systems design and energy efficiency solutions in construction and operations phase of the Projects
Coordinates scope of work between general, mechanical and electrical trades.
Reviews mechanical trade pricing to ensure scope and methodology is appropriate.
Maintains networking relationships with Sub‑Contractors, Architects and M&E; Consultants from the P3 industry and actively participates in promoting EllisDon values in the marketplace
Must also have demonstrated ability to lead this process, effectively manage mechanical trade partners and consultants and engage other needed resources internally or externally and assist in presenting the final solution in accordance with the governance protocol.
Possesses a strong understanding of the regulatory, legislative and business environment, as well as procurement requirements unique to the P3 market.
Is this the right role for you?
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Requires 10+ years of consulting engineering, construction, or facility operations experience with excellent knowledge of building-related systems and services. Professional Engineer designation is an asset.
Demonstrated experience in design, construction and facility services with the skills and comfort level required to be a key part of a team.
Must have solid knowledge of the governing Codes and Standards for buildings.
Has solid knowledge of energy management.
Possesses strong project management skills for managing large development projects with diverse resources.
