Technical Responsibilities
Demonstrate strong Quality Assurance expertise by writing clear, detailed, and reusable test cases, designing effective test scenarios, and executing tests with precision across multiple systems and environments.
Manage defects throughout the full defect lifecycle, including detailed documentation, prioritization, root‑cause analysis, and close collaboration with development teams to drive timely resolution.
Create and execute SQL queries to validate data, prepare test scenarios, and manipulate test datasets supporting functional, integration, and regression testing.
Analyze business requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to create comprehensive and efficient test cases for both manual and automated execution.
Exhibit strong multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage priorities, handle multiple parallel testing activities, and deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision.
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts, embedding automation practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle to improve efficiency, consistency, and coverage.
Job Requirements
Quality Assurance certification (CAST, CSTE, CASQ, CSQA, ISEB, ISTQB, etc.) is an asset; equivalent hands‑on experience is acceptable.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in software testing, with strong knowledge of testing methodologies, QA best practices, and test design.
Minimum 8+ years of experience with SQL, preferably SQL Server, with the ability to write, analyze, and troubleshoot complex queries.
Proven experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), as well as Waterfall methodologies and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
3+ years of industry experience in Insurance, financial services, or banking is highly preferred.
Experience with third‑party integrations and vendor‑related interfaces (e.g., Applied Rater, Powersoft, CSIO EDI) is a plus.
Knowledge of defect tracking, test case management, and collaboration tools, preferably JIRA, Xray, and Visual Studio, with the ability to configure, maintain, or administer these tools as needed.
Seasoned experience in test automation frameworks and automation tooling; proficiency with Selenium using C# is a strong asset.
Strong task‑prioritization and multitasking abilities, capable of delivering high‑quality results in a fast‑paced environment.
Fast learner and self‑starter, able to quickly adapt to new systems, tools, and requirements under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with robust interpersonal abilities for effective cross‑team collaboration.
Demonstrated ownership and accountability, with the ability to deliver assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
A strong team player, capable of working effectively across cross‑functional and cross‑departmental teams.
