We are an innovative AI software company dedicated to transforming industries through cutting‑edge artificial intelligence solutions. Our team is passionate about leveraging AI to solve complex problems, enhance efficiency, and deliver significant value to our customers and clients.
We're looking for an Agile Operations & Jira Specialist to drive how our teams plan, track, and deliver work across multiple projects and products. You'll own our Jira platform, coach teams on Agile practices, and enable cross‑team capacity planning — ensuring our development engine runs smoothly as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
Own the configuration, governance, and optimization of the Jira environment (projects, workflows, schemes, permissions, automation rules)
Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and filters using JQL to provide delivery visibility across teams and to leadership
Design and enforce consistent standards for backlog structure, sprint boards, and issue hierarchies across projects
Automate recurring workflows using Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or similar tools
Serve as the go‑to Jira expert: train teams, troubleshoot issues, and drive adoption of best practices
Facilitate resource and capacity planning across multiple teams and projects
Track and visualize team velocity, workload distribution, and delivery forecasts
Identify bottlenecks, dependencies, and conflicts across teams and escape proactively
Support release planning and coordination across the product suite
Coach teams on Agile principles and practices (Scrum, Kanban), tailoring the approach to each team's maturity
Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, cross‑team syncs where needed
Drive continuous improvement of delivery processes and team ways of working
Establish and track delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, burndown) to inform team and leadership decisions
Qualifications
At Larus Technologies, we value diversity and inclusion in our workplace. We welcome motivated individuals from all backgrounds to apply for this role. If you're excited about this opportunity but only meet some qualifications, we encourage you to apply anyway.
3+ years of hands‑on Jira administration experience (Cloud or Data Center) — configuration, workflows, JQL, automation, and reporting
3+ years in an Agile delivery, operations, or coaching role working across multiple teams
Demonstrated experience with cross‑team capacity planning and resource allocation
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and their practical application
Excellent communication and facilitation skills: you can coach a team and present to leadership equally well
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field
Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects with strict deadlines and multiple stakeholders
Must be eligible to obtain Canadian Government security clearance (typically requires Canadian citizenship or permanent residency)
Desired Skills
Experience working in an agile development environment
Familiarity with Secure (Scaled Agile Framework), particularly PI Planning and cross‑team coordination practices
Experience with other Agile scaling approaches (LeSS, Nexus, Disciplined Agile)
Atlassian certifications (ACP-120 Jira Administrator, or similar)
Agile certifications (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, or SAFe RTE)
Experience with ScriptRunner, Jira Automation, or Atlassian API integrations
Proficiency with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) in Excel for advanced reporting
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
Knowledge of data privacy and security considerations in software projects
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to communicate in French is not necessary, but would be a plus
Benefits
Competitive compensation package
Comprehensive health and dental insurance package
Competitive vacation and paid time off
Company‑sponsored team‑building events
Learning and development opportunities
