On-Call Supervision Aides (West Side Vancouver Schools)
Salary: $26.82 per hour, plus 16% in lieu of benefits
Hours: 2.5 hours per day from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

On-Call Employees are expected to be available to work Monday to Friday with a minimum requirement of three days per week and accept shifts on short notice.

Only applicants who are fully qualified will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising students during recess and lunch, indoors and outdoors, in all kinds of weather.

Ensure student safety and that students comply with school rules.

Intervene in potentially unsafe play situations and facilitate conflict resolutions between students.

Required to supervise students between recess and lunch, ensuring appropriate behaviour and completion of teacher assigned work.

Walk and stand for the duration of the shift, which is mostly outdoors.





Required to circulate the school grounds, focus on your surroundings and remain alert at all times.

Qualifications

Experience working with children in large groups.

Positive communication skills.

Excellent conflict resolution skills.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather.

Ability to speak languages common to ESL students is an asset.
