Accountabilities Include:
Underwrite new business applications for surety according to company standards
Analyze, assess and monitor the financial strength of new and existing account business
Negotiate specific terms and conditions for the issuance of surety bonds
Regular monitoring of various construction developments, projects and exposures
Develop current business through networking and marketing with clients, consultants, lawyers, etc.
Represent Trisura at various associations and industry related functions
Search for solutions to complex problems with the ability to bring creativity to underwriting risks
Expand upon industry knowledge to improve underwriting decisions through courses and training
Qualifications:
Successful completion of BCom, or BA with Business, Accounting or Finance focus
3-5+ years’ experience in Contract Surety, Accounting, Finance or Banking
Bilingual in French and English is an asset
Location:
Downtown Toronto – Hybrid – 3‑4 days per week in office
The expected salary in this position is within the range of $85,000 - $125,000
This salary range reflects the expected base compensation for the role across Canada. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities. Trisura provides this range in good faith in accordance with applicable legislation.
