Job Description
Location : Relocation to Upper Ottawa Valley

Work Model : A visible, hands‑on presence on site is essential. This role requires a leader who is prepared to be where decisions are made, constraints are removed, and progress is driven.

Only applicants who meet all minimum qualifications will be considered.

The Opportunity
A leadership role where execution discipline, ownership, and team performance define success. Chandos is seeking a Senior Project Director to lead major scope. This role is suited to a general contractor leader who drives predictable, disciplined delivery on complex, high‑stakes projects and is most effective close to the work.

Role Overview
The Senior Project Director is accountable for driving consistent, predictable outcomes across scope, schedule, cost, quality,

procurement, and risk.

You will lead through others, setting the tone for execution, building clarity in complex environments, and creating the conditions for high performance across the team. This includes establishing strong delivery rhythms, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, and maintaining control as project conditions evolve.

What You’ll Own

End‑to‑end delivery across schedule, cost, quality, and risk

Subtrade strategy, contracts, and commercial performance

Clear execution rhythm: planning, tracking, and accountability

A high‑performing team with robust alignment and follow‑through

Trusted stakeholder relationships built on transparency and results

Qualifications

Experience delivering nuclear projects or similarly industrial regulated environments

10+ years in industrial construction with senior leadership responsibility

Proven track record on $500M+ projects from a general contractor perspective, including operating at a Project Director or equivalent level of accountability

This role is intended for individuals already operating at a project director level, not those seeking their first opportunity at this scope

Strong commercial acumen (contracts, risk, forecasting, margin)

Degree in Construction, Engineering, or equivalent experience

What Sets You Apart

You have delivered large projects where control and predictability were imperatives

You build teams that perform better because you’re there

You bring clarity to complex environments and make decisions that hold

You surface issues early with solutions, not noise

You are comfortable being visible, accountable, and on site when it matters

Benefits

Competitive wages

Well‑rounded employer‑paid benefits program including health, dental, vision care and employee assistance program

RRSP matching program to aid and prepare employees for long‑term financial security

Educational assistance for employees who wish to pursue job‑performance enhancing education

Recognition and annual salary reviews program

Leadership conferences that allow employees to connect and collaborate

Regular company‑wide engagement opportunities
