The Program Manager, Solutions Lab (Future of Work & Future of Care) is responsible for leading high-impact initiatives focused on reimagining the future workforce and advancing innovative AI first models of care within SE Health.
This role operates in a cross-functional, enterprise-wide environment, driving innovation initiatives that strengthen workforce capacity, enhance employee experience, and enable current models of care delivery. The position emphasizes innovation in workforce design, AI enablement, new employee support models, and workplace transformation.
The Manager leads complex projects that span multiple departments and external partners. While the role may have limited direct reports, it exercises significant influence through matrix leadership, stakeholder engagement, and internal/external partnership coordination.
Primary accountability is advancing initiatives in:
Future of Work – workforce innovation leveraging AI, new employee support models, workplace transformation
Future of Care – enabling AI first innovative care delivery models that align with workforce transformation
Support Internal innovation priorities – including digital transformation, AI-enabled workflows, and sustainability and green practices within workforce and operational models
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives focused on Future of Work and Future of Care.
Translate strategic priorities into actionable workplans, including pilots related to workforce models, digital tools, and care delivery innovation.
Develop business cases and strategic recommendations including areas such as:
Workforce support and enhancement programs such as respite for working caregivers, aging in the workplace, employee ownership, microloans programs, etc.
AI-enabled workforce productivity and care models
Ensure alignment with enterprise priorities, including clinical, operational, and digital transformation strategies. Identify opportunities for scaling, sustainability, and enterprise integration of successful models.
Cross-Functional & Matrix Leadership
Lead cross-functional initiatives involving clinical, operational, HR, finance, communications and digital teams.
Drive alignment across stakeholders to advance workforce and care innovation priorities.
Provide leadership in navigating ambiguity and enabling coordinated execution across multiple functions.
Support integration between workforce innovation and care delivery transformation efforts.




Contribute to internal working groups related to digital transformation, AI literacy, AI adoption, and operational innovation.
External Partnerships & Ecosystem Engagement
Develop and manage partnerships that advance workforce and care innovation (e.g., academic institutions, technology partners, social innovators).
Engage external stakeholders to bring leading practices and innovative solutions into SE Health.
Support co-development of pilots and initiatives that address workforce challenges and care delivery gaps.
Represent SE Health in external forums related to workforce innovation, future of work, and care transformation.
Design and test innovative workforce and care models, including pilots and prototypes.
Develop logic models, evaluation frameworks and success metrics for workforce and care innovation initiatives.
Leverage data and insights to inform decision-making and scaling strategies.
Support adoption of digital and AI-enabled solutions that improve workforce effectiveness and care outcomes.
Contribute to knowledge translation and internal dissemination of learnings.
Integrate, where appropriate, sustainability and green practices into workforce and operational innovation initiatives (e.g., low-carbon workforce models, efficient resource utilization)
Qualifications:
Education:
Master’s degree preferred (e.g., Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, Social Innovation, Clinical Masters with significant innovation experience, or related field).
Experience & Capability Profile:
3–7 years of relevant experience in innovation, strategy, workforce transformation, or complex project leadership.
Experience in:
Workforce innovation including design methodology, organizational transformation or other related experiences
Digital or AI-enabled solutions in healthcare or service environments
Cross-functional initiative leadership
Demonstrated ability to:
Lead initiatives in ambiguous, evolving environments
Engage diverse stakeholders including senior stakeholders and external partners
Develop business cases and strategic recommendations
Confidence in the responsible and ethical use of AI.




Strategic thinking with a workforce and systems lens
Strong project and portfolio management capability
Matrix leadership and stakeholder influence
Innovation mindset and comfort with ambiguity
Analytical and data-informed decision-making
Strong communication and executive-level synthesis skills
Ability to connect workforce strategy with care delivery transformation
Experience in home and community care or other health care settings is a strong asset

The total target compensation for this position is $72,000 - $91,000. The compensation offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, taking into consideration internal equity.
