Are you a skilled Service Designer passionate about human-centred design and digital transformation?
We’re hiring multiple Service Designers to join innovative, cross-functional teams working on transformative digital projects that improve public services.
Location: Primarily Remote (Canada-based) with occasional meetings in Edmonton, AB
Contract: Up to 24 months, full-time, flexible hours based on project needs
Schedule: Flexible, aligned with project demands
What You’ll Do
- Apply human-centred design and agile methodologies to program reviews and digital transformation projects
- Conduct user and behavioral field research, co-design workshops, and usability testing
- Create service journey maps, blueprints, prototypes, and user stories
- Analyze service performance and report findings with actionable insights
- Collaborate closely with product owners, executives, and front-line staff to co-develop new processes and policies
- Support change management initiatives to integrate recent solutions into existing operations
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement,
and cross-functional team activities
- Deliver iterative project outcomes that enhance efficiency, accessibility, and user satisfaction
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in service design research and outputs
- 2+ years working within cross-functional, Agile product teams
- Strong skills in user research, co-design, prototyping, and journey mapping
- Experience in change management and organizational design
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in remote and hybrid settings
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with public sector or government digital transformation projects
- Familiarity with human-centred design tools and modern data practices
- Experience conducting field research and user interviews in diverse environments
