As a Health & Safety Coordinator working in the Building Operations at Pomerleau Construction, your mission is clear: safeguarding lives, one protocol at a time. Working on large‑scale building and infrastructure projects—ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion—you will ensure that health and safety on our job sites and office spaces isn’t simply a policy; it’s a way of life.

What You Will Do

Be the pioneer for site health and safety where the project teams look to you for guidance and compliance becomes second nature.

Lead and promote Pomerleau’s H&S; standards, OH&S; Acts, Regulations, and Codes with teammates and trade partners.

Serve as a key player from day one of project kickoffs—crafting plans, leading meetings, and spotting potential hazards through to project closeouts.

Conduct regular site inspections and lead incident investigation processes for your project, sharing insights with the Regional H&S; Manager.

Build an environment with strong accident‑prevention foresight and be the first responder when an emergency occurs.

Share your passion for training, mentoring, and coaching the team on H&S; best practices.

Compile statistics, identify patterns, and pave the way for proactive improvements.





Support the upkeep of Pomerleau’s COR Standards, ensuring all COR elements are met and maintained on job sites.

This Role Could Be For You If You Have

3+ years of hands‑on Health & Safety experience in the construction industry.

An educational background in Occupational H&S;, risk management, or direct industry experience.

Previous experience or familiarity with Certification of Recognition (COR) and Safety Group (IHSA).

People‑management and relationship skills.

Proven experience working with computer programs to track and monitor your project’s H&S.;
