Job Summary

As a Lifestyle Claims Adjuster you’ll be the go-to expert for claims involving cottages, manufactured homes, and watercraft, including total losses and complex losses. You’ll play a vital role in supporting our customers during some of their most challenging moments, ensuring they receive the care, expertise, and solutions they deserve, and getting back to what they love doing most as easily as possible.

Responsibilities

- Review and analyze policies, appraisals, and technical reports to assess claim value and negotiate fair settlements.
- Effectively manage an active caseload of claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution in line with Aviva’s standards, with customer service at the forefront.
- Create outstanding experiences for our customers, turning stressful situations into positive moments.
- Operate within your authority, using your judgment to resolve claims efficiently.
- Maintain detailed, accurate file records and adhere to all Aviva Specialty Claims protocols.
- Work closely with various teams to produce good claims outcomes, participate in projects, bring a growth mindset, and share feedback to help us continuously improve.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3–5+ years of previous claims adjusting experience.
- Genuine interest in Lifestyle claims—whether it’s cottage properties or watercraft.

What Makes You Stand Out

- Progress toward or completion of the Insurance Institute Program (CIP/FCIP).
- A post‑secondary diploma or degree.
- Provincial Licenses for the Atlantic provinces.




- Experience with and demonstrated ability to effectively handle watercraft or habitational claims in excess of $100,000.00.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary band for this position ranges from $58,000 to $68,000. Individual salary is determined by factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity.
