TASKS YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH
This is a multifaceted position within the Electrical Systems Integration team. This team is responsible for developing, certifying, improving, and maintaining the best industry standards for the Electrical Power Generation & Distribution systems and lighting systems architectures on our airplanes. Our team supports all products.
In this role, you will:
- Participate and lead electrical systems technical improvements and developments for our existing and future airplane programs (optimize architectures, incorporate new technologies, etc.)
- Prepare, review, or approve engineering documents related to electrical system changes on our airplanes (production and in-service aircraft)
- Propose, elaborate, and test novel approaches to optimize our business airplanes on aspects such as emissions reduction, costs, weight, performance, and customer satisfaction
- Lead technical investigations related to electrical or lighting systems
- Conduct trade studies associated with new technology introduction and integration on aircraft
- Contribute to the Electrical Knowledge Domain to capture lessons learned and best industry practices (product and process), and mentor or guide junior team members
- Manage interfaces with internal and external partners and suppliers for technical aspects
- Represent the Electrical discipline with internal and external collaborators
Requirements
As our ideal candidate, you:
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering
- Have a minimum of 15 years in aircraft electrical system integration or related experience
- Have deep knowledge of relevant industry standards (RTCA/DO-160, SAE, MIL-STD, etc.) and of airworthiness (TCCA, FAA, EASA) regulations and advisory materials pertaining to electrical systems
- Apply strong analytical and systems‑thinking skills to structure complex problems and maintain clarity across disciplines
- Communicate effectively, tailoring technical concepts and project updates to diverse audiences, and clearly articulate status and risks to stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrate leadership and be motivated to work on multiple projects simultaneously
