Dynatrace Solution Architect / Senior Dynatrace SME

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Implementation

• Design and implement enterprise-scale Dynatrace monitoring solutions.


• Develop high-level and detailed solution designs for implementation waves and releases.


• Create configuration guides, implementation documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and operational handbooks.


• Define monitoring standards, governance models, and onboarding processes.


• Lead deployment and configuration of Dynatrace managed or SaaS environments.


• Perform Dynatrace tenant configuration, OneAgent deployment, ActiveGate setup, and platform administration.


• Drive observability adoption across applications, infrastructure, cloud, and digital experience monitoring.

Dynatrace Platform Administration

• Configure and manage:


• OneAgent deployments


• ActiveGates


• Management Zones


• Alerting Profiles


• Dashboards and Reports


• Service Detection Rules
  
• Custom Metrics and Events


• Maintenance Windows


• Ensure monitoring coverage, data quality, and platform scalability.


• Troubleshoot and resolve technical implementation challenges.

Monitoring Optimization

• Analyze monitoring configurations and recommend best practices.


• Optimize:


• Data ingestion and consumption


• Licensing utilization


• Dashboard effectiveness


• Alert quality and noise reduction


• Service detection accuracy


• Implement monitoring strategies that maximize business value and operational efficiency.


• Design proactive alerting and observability frameworks.

ServiceNow & CMDB Integration

• Lead integration between Dynatrace and ServiceNow platforms.


• Configure and maintain CMDB API connections.


• Design and implement CI discovery and mapping processes.






• Integrate Dynatrace entities with ServiceNow CMDB using ETL and IRE methodologies.


• Configure automated incident creation from Dynatrace problems.


• Enable bidirectional workflow integrations where required.


• Design and implement event correlation and incident enrichment capabilities

Naming, Tagging & Governance

• Define enterprise-wide naming and tagging standards.


• Configure:


• Service naming rules


• Process naming rules


• Auto-tagging strategies


• Metadata governance standards


• Establish monitoring taxonomy and service ownership models.


• Ensure consistency across applications, infrastructure, and business services.

Maintenance Window Management

• Design and implement automated maintenance window capabilities.


• Integrate ServiceNow change management processes with Dynatrace maintenance windows.


• Configure maintenance windows based on scheduled change requests.


• Ensure alert suppression and operational governance during approved maintenance activities.

Stakeholder Management & Enablement

• Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, architecture teams, and service management teams.


• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to monitoring and operations teams.


• Conduct workshops, knowledge transfer sessions, and formal training programs.


• Establish operational best practices for monitoring and observability adoption.


• Act as the primary escalation point for complex Dynatrace-related issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.


• Dynatrace Associate or Professional Certification preferred.


• ServiceNow Integration or CMDB experience preferred.


• Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, AIOps, and Observability practices.


• Experience designing enterprise monitoring architectures.


• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.


• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
