This role requires an on-site presence at our 3501 Leonard Court, Santa Clara, CA location. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Customer & Technical Training Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you’ll contribute to developing and delivering high-quality training programs that support our customers and internal teams. You’ll create educational content and support training initiatives across our product portfolios, from analytical instruments to laboratory solutions. In this collaborative environment, you’ll work with cross-functional teams to design and implement comprehensive training strategies that enhance customer experience and drive success. This role combines technical expertise with facilitation skills to deliver learning solutions through multiple modalities, including workshops, virtual sessions, and e-learning platforms.

Requirements





Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree plus 8 years of experience in technical training, product management, or customer education roles

Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or related scientific/technical field

Instructional design or adult education certifications beneficial

Train-the-trainer certification advantageous

Technical knowledge of relevant product lines (e.g., chromatography, mass spectrometry, electron microscopy)

Experience developing and delivering both technical and soft-skills training programs

Strong facilitation and presentation skills for both in-person and virtual environments

Proficiency in e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia, Brainshark)

Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Project management capabilities and ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives

Robust communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly

Ability to create engaging training materials and documentation

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and content creation tools

Experience in regulated environments (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotechnology)

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with teams

Self-directed with organizational and time management abilities

Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $101,300.00–$151,925.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
