St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools invites applications for a temporary full‑time Grade 4 French Immersion teaching position at Académie Saint‑André Academy in Beaumont, Alberta. The term is from 26 August 2026 to 29 January 2027.

Responsibilities

Teach Grade 4 French Immersion to students.

Support co‑curricular and extra‑curricular programs.

Qualifications

Proficient in written and spoken English and French.

Possession of a certificate in Catholic Education from St. Joseph's College is an asset.

Successful applicants must provide a current (within 6 months) Criminal Record Check inclusive of a vulnerable sector check and a current Alberta Children’s Services Intervention Record Check.

Académie Saint‑André Academy offers a dual‑track English and French Immersion program for grades K‑4, with nearly 370 students enrolled.

The Government of Canada offers Student Loan Forgiveness to teachers who work in Beaumont for 10 consecutive months and have a student loan in valuable standing. Eligible teachers may receive up to $30,000 over a maximum of 5 years.

Applicants should submit a resume and two reference letters. A pastoral reference is an asset and can be provided as a standard letter or via the reference form available on the STAR Catholic website.
