IVVQ Test Specialist
Aversan is a trusted multi‑service engineering and electronics manufacturing company delivering leading‑edge safety‑critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defence, and space industries. Join our specialized team as an IVVQ Test Specialist responsible for designing, conducting, and reporting on IVVQ activities. Standardised test scripts will be provided, but the successful candidate must have the technical expertise to amend, correct, or update these scripts as required to maintain system integrity.
Location: Mill Bay, British Columbia. Job Type: Contractor. Working arrangement: Hybrid.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute test events.
Work with the Interview/Test Team to safely verify and validate the product.
Review requirements and contribute to traceability matrices.
Record test results and report on test activities, including defect analysis.
Raise problem reports and track them to resolution.
Provide Test Report, Reliability, CGP, or Trial.
Deploy methodologies, including metrics, and tools/platforms necessary for test activities.
Write test plans and test procedures.
Strong background in requirements analysis.
Proficiency with test management tools.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 3 years’ experience working with physical systems, including mechanical,
electrical, and/or pressurized fluid systems.
At least 3 years of IV&V; or related experience.
Experience in marine or military systems, including ships or shipbuilding.
Marine systems experience and system‑of‑systems engineering and integration experience.
Core network and application experience.
Previous experience with test case development and execution, manual or automated; requirements analysis experience.
Experience with test management tools.
Experience handling and working on physical systems, products, or equipment.
Experience testing or performing verification on ships.
Experience with IBM DOORS.
May involve ship visits and work in difficult‑to‑navigate test sites such as shipyards, construction sites, or remote wilderness locations.
Fluent English, both written and spoken, with robust communication skills.
Minimal lifting of test and electronic equipment may be required in lab or field environments.
Ability to acquire and maintain Canadian Secret, Controlled Goods, ITAR, NATO Secret, and COMSEC security clearances.
Compensation
$95,000 – $115,000 CAD (annual salary) based on geographic location, skills, competencies, and qualifications.
