Job Overview We are recruiting two highly organized and experienced E&I; Quality Control Inspectors. This role focuses on the Electrical and Instrumentation scope with a critical emphasis on progressive development, review, and finalization of project turnover binders. The successful candidate will ensure all E&I; documentation meets client and regulatory standards, facilitating a seamless transition from construction to commissioning and final turnover.
This position follows a 14‑day on / 14‑day off rotation, working 12‑hour shifts at Kearl Oil Sands. It is camp‑based with flights provided from Edmonton and/or Calgary.

Job Duties & Responsibilities Lead progressive development and compilation of E&I; turnover binders to meet client requirements
Perform quality oversight of E&I; installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, design drawings, and relevant codes (CEC/NEC)
Review and approve subcontractor quality documentation, including ITRs, loop check reports, and cable test results
Coordinate and witness testing activities including point‑to‑point checks, loop checks, insulation resistance (Megger) testing, and instrument calibration verification
Organize and lead system walkdowns with client representatives and internal teams; identify and manage punch‑list items
Act as primary interface for E&I; quality documentation between construction teams, engineering, and the client; maintain status logs for RFIs, FCNs, and quality reports
Manage the redlining process and verify that as‑built drawings are accurately reflected in the final turnover package
Skills, Education & Qualifications Certification: Journeyman Electrician or Instrumentation Technician (or equivalent)
Demonstrated track record of leading and finalizing E&I; turnover binders for major projects; solid familiarity with ITR management, system handover processes, and project close‑out requirements
Deep understanding of E&I; codes, standards, and typical oil and gas infrastructure
Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu; familiarity with project data management or turnover software (e.g., MC Plus, O3) is an asset
Strong time management and communication skills for client and subcontractor interfacing
Willingness to complete necessary safety training and maintain a safety‑conscious work environment
Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing/criminal background checks
