Job Summary
Industrial Education Teacher (Woodwork/Metalwork) 8-12 & Computers Teacher 8/9. 1.0 FTE temporary contract, starting September 8, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to March 31, 2027, or upon return of the incumbent.

Fernie Secondary School, Fernie, BC

Responsibilities

Teach Woodwork 10/11/12, Metalwork 8/9, Intro to Trades 10/11/12, and Computers 8/9.

All instruction will be conducted on site.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or formal training and/or teaching experience in Woodwork and Metalwork.

Red Seal in an applicable area, or a Diploma in the Technology Teacher Education Program, or an equivalent qualification.

Bachelor’s degree or formal training and/or teaching experience in Computers at the secondary level.

BC Teacher Certification preferred.

Salary and Benefits
Starting annual salary ranges from $70,392 to $119,187, based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. Competitive advantages package and pension are available.
