This isn't a role for someone who simply maintains the status quo. Key Responsibilities
Lead the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including consolidated financial statements for Canadian and Mexican operations.
Oversee the full accounting cycle, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, and working capital.
Establish, maintain, and continuously improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with Canadian accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and supporting knowledge of US GAAP.
Manage cash flow, perform variance analysis against budgets and operating plans, and provide financial insights to support strategic decision‑making.
Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and the development of financial dashboards, KPIs, and operational reporting.
Coordinate external audits, corporate tax filings, sales tax remittances, transfer pricing,
and intercompany accounting activities across multiple entities.
Drive automation and continuous process improvements by leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, and scalability across the Finance function.
Collaborate cross‑functionally to optimize financial processes and system integrations that support business growth.
Prepare and oversee sales commission calculations and other recurring financial analyses.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Support strategic initiatives, system implementations, and other finance and operations projects as the company continues to scale.
