Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy seeks a Traveling Field Service Technician to support wind power services worldwide. The role involves executing pre‑defined technical tasks and providing on‑site and remote maintenance for turbine equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform pre‑defined technical tasks such as basic commissioning, component integration, and basic engineering on turbine systems.
Support customers remotely and on‑site, delivering 2nd and 3rd level user support.
Coordinate defined service operations and resolve product issues for customer equipment.
Adhere to defined processes, applicable regulations, and safety standards.
Diagnose and resolve problems independently and efficiently.
Participate in development of new field procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum 1–2 years of wind turbine experience.
Experience with major component exchange, turbine erection, or decommissioning.
Flexibility to travel up to 100 % of the time and residence within 50 miles of a major airport.
Ability to work suspended from heights and in confined spaces.
Clean driving record and successful pre‑hire drug screening.
Travel & Physical Requirements
The position requires 100 % travel. Candidates must be able to work in hazardous environments, including suspension from heights and confined spaces, and live within 50 miles of a major airport.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $56,000 – $80,000 CAD.
