We're seeking an experienced Project Manager / Lead Wind Technician to support a large-scale wind turbine remediation project in Quebec, on a short term contract with possibility of extension.
This role combines project coordination, field leadership, documentation management, client communication, and technical oversight. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact between field execution teams, inspections, engineering recommendations, and project stakeholders.
The objective is to allow technicians to focus on field execution while ensuring project priorities, reporting requirements, and corrective actions are effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project priorities, schedules, and resource requirements
Support execution of remediation and inspection programs
Track progress against project milestones and deadlines
Escalate critical issues and develop mitigation plans
Technical Coordination
Review inspection findings and engineering recommendations
Translate field findings into executable work plans
Coordinate corrective actions related to:
Structural bolting activities
Blade replacement scopes
Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians
Documentation & Reporting
Manage project paperwork, reports, and site documentation
Track inspection findings and corrective action status
Coordinate work packages and field execution records
Maintain communication with project stakeholders and client representatives
Team Support
Support crews operating in remote site conditions
Remove administrative burdens from technicians
Assist with planning, logistics, mobilizations, and work sequencing
Promote safety and quality standards throughout the project
Qualifications
Required
5+ years of experience in wind, heavy industrial, energy, or construction environments
Previous experience leading field-based projects
Strong mechanical background
Experience managing contractors and field crews
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment
Preferred
Wind turbine major component replacement experience
Blade or tower remediation experience
Bolting and flange replacement experience
Knowledge of tensioning systems and hydraulic tooling
Experience with ITH Smart Tensioning equipment
