Description
As a member of the structural design team, you will work with multidisciplinary engineering and design project teams to develop structural physical layout drawings in a 3‑D model.

Your responsibilities include:

Designing structural supports and foundations, investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of structural design issues.

Using 3D modeling software tools to generate structural design schematics.

Leading and coordinating detailed design phases for all aspects of the integrated structural design model.

Providing guidance to other designers and project team members to ensure a complete and timely design.

Planning and executing structural design deliverables independently or as part of a team.

Accompanying and assisting senior designers and engineers in field walk‑downs and data gathering at client facilities.

Mentoring less experienced drafters and designers.

Work Schedule
Hybrid work schedule: in‑office 3 days per week with flexibility to work remotely for two days.

Qualifications

Foundational undergraduate program in a technical area including drafting, or a high school diploma and one or more years of drafting coursework or equivalent technical experience.

Five (5) or more years of detailed design experience in the development of structural steel design and reinforced concrete design drawings.

Proficiency with design software tools to execute 3‑D plant layout models.

Experience reviewing structural layout drawings involving steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment and piping supports, foundations, and rebar detailing.

Ability to interface with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power‑plant design process.

Non‑sponsorship of employees for work authorization in Canada.

Eligibility to access U.S. export‑controlled information (citizen of a country listed in Appendix A to Part 810 of the Code of Federal Regulations).

Valued But Not Required Experience

Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.





Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Design.

Experience using AutoCAD and MicroStation software.

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.

Compensation
$68,050 - $103,966
