Role Description

The Head of School is a full-time, on-site leadership role located in West Vancouver, BC, responsible for the overall educational vision, operations, and culture of the Montessori School. This role oversees curriculum implementation, instructional quality, and adherence to Montessori principles, while supporting educators through coaching, feedback, and career development. The Head of School manages day-to-day school operations, including staffing, budgeting,



compliance, and safety, and builds strong relationships with learners, families, and the wider community. The position includes leading strategic planning, enrollment and retention initiatives, and communication efforts such as family updates, community events, and public representation of the school. The Head of School collaborates with the governing body to align school goals with long-term growth and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Educational Leadership and Education skills, with experience leading schools or educational programs.
• Candidates should possess Curriculum Development skills, ideally with knowledge of Montessori pedagogy and child-centered instructional design.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
